Day + 26

Today has been a very long, very stressful day.  Elena has been dealing with stomach issues all day.  She is frustrated that she can't really describe how she is feeling, and we feel helpless because nothing we have tried seems to work.  Please pray for a restful, peace filled night and a better day tomorrow.  Pray for wisdom for the doctors and patience for all of us as we work through yet another obstacle that has shown up in our path.

In Him,
The Tates

"I keep my eyes always on the Lord.  With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken."  Psalm 16:8

  6. I know a quick little trick that will make her tummy feel better for a few minutes. Give her a little tickle on her left big toe and tell her Rainey loves her. Repeat as needed. Hang in there my brave hero. You are getting better every day.

  9. Praises for your good report from Sunday... So sorry for Monday. However, you are past day 25+ which is a quarter of the way to day 100+! THAT is cause for celebration! I know it is difficult for you to smile under all of this, so we are praying for smiles all day today! It takes fewer muscles to smile so it will make you less tired. LOL! We love all of you and continue to pray for healing, energy, and to greet every day with a smile :-)

  10. Sweet Tates,

I think of you and pray for you often. I understand how hard this part of the journey is - you are all tired and ready to be home. It's hard to face each day with renewed energy, but we trust in a God that infuses us with that hope and strength to fight each day. He is SO good, and it is in His timing alone that His will is accomplished. It is so beautiful to see how you are praising Him through your circumstance - He is so glorified in that. He loves you so much and will give you the strength you need for each day - your daily bread. He doesn't give us the strength we need for tomorrow or for yesterday, He gives us strength to live today. I pray that He will bless you daily with exactly what you need to glorify Him and fight this battle. I trust in a God who does BIG things, so I will pray BIG for you!

I pray for healing - for Elena's bone marrow to sprout those red cells and platelets so that you can go home to rest and heal. I also pray that your story and your blog will be a testament to your friends, family, and people who don't even know you - that you may be a light for Him. Even as you sit in room #3206, with the walls looking all too familiar, He is using you to speak of His glory to each person who walks through that door. I know that not a person comes into your room that doesn't see His light in you. He is in your eyes, your smiles, and your hugs. He is also in our tears, our fears, and our pain. He is the great comforter and healer, and I trust Him to do just that, for He loves you so.

God bless you and keep you,

    Your transplant buddy, Erin Blonshine
