Today was another up and down day. At 5:00 this morning, Elena spiked a fever of 103.1. By early this afternoon it was back down to 98.6 and we thought that was the end of it, but it wasn't. It soon rose again to over 102. We have since completed that cycle one more time and as of 9pm it is back over 102. Thankfully none of the cultures they have taken are positive for any bacteria. Oddly enough, Elena's doctors believe the fevers may be from some of the medicine they are giving her to help her white cells come in. Go figure! Whatever the reason, they are rough on Elena and she is tired of them. She is more than ready to start feeling good again. Please pray for Elena's fever to go away and stay away!
For whatever reason, it doesn't seem that we can get all of Elena's issues taken care of at the same time. Just when we think we have a handle on one thing something else pops up. As you can probably imagine, this is more than a little frustrating. Especially after such a long time of trying.
We go to bed tonight comforted by the fact that though we may not understand it all, we know that God does and He is in control.
In Him,
The Tates

Our bible study starting meeting again tonight for the fall session....you and your sweet family are on all of our prayer list! we love you and are continuing to pray that you feel better with each second that passes.
ReplyDeleteI know that the ups and downs are hard. You never know what is coming next. The only thing you can do is one at a time, sweet Elena, one at a time. When it's fever, fight the fever, when it's nausea, fight the nausea, when it's pain, fight the pain. One at a time. You will be healed and it will be over soon. I love you, Rainey
ReplyDeleteGood morning Elena, Olivia, Mark and Christy. It's so crazy that the very medicine to help causes such problems. We continue to believe for complete healing. We pray for a day free of fevers and and all side effects. A day full of feeling more normal and joyful.
