Day +37

Today has been a better day!  Elena is still dealing with fevers and nausea, but has also had periods of time where she's felt pretty good.  We try to maximize our efforts toward doing normal stuff during these times so Elena can feel like she is doing what she wants to do and not what she has to do.  This also makes the have to dos easier to do, so it is a win win situation.  Well, when kept in perspective it is anyway.  Truth be told, we would much rather be planning a big football watching, Labor Day partying, last big blowout of the summer weekend like most families are doing.  But since we aren't, we will make the most of our current situation and know that we are in the best possible place for this time in our lives.  We know it won't last forever.

Looking back on the past 47 days we realize how much perception influences reality.  Until your view of the world changes, your life never will.  We all live life looking through our own set of rose colored glasses and have them focused on different things.  Our focus has definitely changed over the years, but has become even more refined during the past several weeks.  This time spent as we have has helped us confirm our belief of what life and family are really all about, and for this, we are grateful!

Please continue to pray for Elena's fevers to go away, for her lungs to clear and for her nausea to cease.  Pray for complete healing and peaceful days and nights ahead!

In Him,
The Tates

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."  2 Cor 4:18
