In Limbo

Elena is resting after a very rough night of unrest. Her red cell counts are good after receiving two units of blood but her platelets were about the same as when we first arrived at the clinic yesterday morning. This is causing us some concern as she had received two units of platelets before these counts were done and will now receive a third. Her nose has continued to bleed and she has also vomited more blood. Pray that we will find out what is causing this and that the doctors can correct the problem.

Please also keep our family in your prayers as we are spread thin, often with our hearts and minds in one place and our bodies in another. Pray for Olivia as she deals with the emotional roller coaster we are all riding and with trying to balance the normalcy of life that this time of year brings with the reality we now find ourselves living in.

Thank you for all of the prayers!! We defnitely feel the hands of Jesus reaching out to us!

Im Him,
The Tates

  2. Praying that Elena will start to feel better and that they get to the bottom of what is going on. As parents we don't wont to ever see our kids go through this.

    Always praying,

  4. We are praying for a better more "restful" night for all of you, if that's possible (as parents in this situation). We love ya'll and just hate that you are going through so much. I pray Elena is stronger tomorrow, no nose bleeds, vomitting or fevers! Hang in there and let us know if ya'll need anything at all! Love and hugs, Kriston, Jason & Ellison

  5. I'm always checking on Elena and I was disappointed tonight when I got on and read what she is going through. You are all in our thoughts and prayers....hang in there and let us know if you need anything! Hoping you all will get to go home soon but most of all, that she feels better real soon.

P.S. She always amazes me when I've seen her how positive she is and sweet with Allison. You are right, she is always so sweet towards others battling her same disease.
