A Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

We need your prayers.
Last night, before ever going to sleep, Elena started to experience intense leg pain from her knees down.  It continued throughout the early morning hours.  Elena never slept. It was awful -tears streaming, fist clinching, grimacing pain.
After four doses of morphine, she was still in pain.  A pain pump was ordered. Elena was finally able to rest from about 3 - 6:30 this evening.

She is physically and emotionally exhausted. We all are.  A cause for the leg pain still has not been determined.

So, we sit here at Scottish Rite in the dark after a hellish night and day.
Watching your child scream in pain, crying out for help and calling your name for hour after hour is heart breaking!

We ask simply that you pray as you feel led.
We pray for answers, peace, and rest.

In Him,
The Tates

"Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you." 1 Peter 5:7

Praying rest, for the Holy Spirit to go into the inner working's of her body and bring soothing, miraculous healing to her veins, her bones ... to bring restoration and rest.

  4. We have never met, but I am a NFUMC member. Just wanted you to know that I pray for Elena everyday and often throughout the day. I also pray for you and your family. May God be with all of you.

  5. I know it does no good to get agressive with the medical staff there, but why the hell don't they give her enough medication to stop the pain. Even if they have to give her something to make her sleep through it. Pain can be managed with the right drugs. Scream at them, demand that Elena not be allowed to suffer. Take off the gloves and let them know that you want her to have whatever she needs...NOW.

Sorry, just venting, but I don't think any hospital should claim they can't manage pain to the point that Elena has to scream hour after hour for help. Pleas God, put the hospital staff on notice that they must help her, NOW.
