Snapshots of Today's Visit

Here are a few pictures from Elena's clinic visit today:

This is Elena's chart.
They do not use file folders here!

It is a great visual reminder.

Elena has endured so much over the past 27 months.

Can you believe it!?
The final time Elena's port will be accessed.

We can't!

Here it is...the actual poke.

Sweet Nurse Kim giving Elena chemo in her port for the very last time.

She's the best!

Our survivor!
We are so happy to have reached this milestone!

Elena, we are so proud of you!

Thank you for your prayers and well wishes today!
It has been a good day, Lord. Yes, a very good day!

In Him,

The Tates

"But now, this is what the Lord says-
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
"Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned.
For I am the Lord, your God,
The holy One of Israel, your Savior."
Isaiah 43:1-5

  3. Yay for final port accesses, last chemo in port, and for great nurses and doctors!!! Yay for completing treatment & getting ready to get your port out!!! We are so excited for you. We LOVE reading your blog to keep up with what is going on with all of you. Sarah is on the same schedule - with pre-admission stuff on 7/18 and grafting surgery on 7/25. We will be thinking of Elena as we take Sarah to these procedures! We love y'all!
